Legal
Terms of service
Last updated September 8, 2026
These terms are a legally binding agreement between you, personally or on behalf of the business you represent ("you" or "Client"), and Support Local Marketing LLC, doing business as SupportLocal ("SupportLocal", "we", "us", or "our").
They govern your use of our website at https://supportlocal.io, the SupportLocal software platform, and any related products and services that link to these terms (together, the "Services").
SupportLocal helps local businesses get more Google reviews and more repeat business. The platform sends review requests by text and email, drafts and posts replies to reviews, runs reactivation campaigns to past customers, helps manage a Google Business Profile, and connects to the tools a business already uses.
By creating an account, checking the agreement box at signup, or using the Services, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are for businesses and their authorized users. You must be at least 18 years old to use them.
1. Your account
You must give accurate, complete, and current information when you register and keep it updated. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You represent that you have authority to bind the business you register on behalf of, that you are not a minor, and that your use of the Services will comply with all applicable laws.
2. Scope of the Services
The features available to you depend on the plan you choose. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops. Onboarding, setup, and support are provided as described on our website or in your order.
The Services depend on third-party platforms such as Google, text messaging carriers, and email providers. We do not control those platforms. They may change their rules, filter or remove reviews, block messages, or suspend access at any time, and we are not responsible when they do.
3. No guarantee of results
We build systems that reliably ask customers for reviews and follow up. We do not and cannot guarantee any specific number of reviews, star rating, ranking, search position, lead volume, revenue, or other result. Reviews are written by your customers and published at the discretion of third-party platforms.
We never write fake reviews, incentivize reviews in ways that violate platform rules, or gate reviews by filtering out unhappy customers. You agree not to ask us to.
4. Client responsibilities and consent to contact
You control who the platform contacts. You will only upload, import, connect, or otherwise provide contact information for people who have given you the consent required by law to receive the messages you send through the Services. That includes text messages, emails, and any other electronic communication.
Specifically, you agree that:
- Each person on any list you provide has a business relationship with you and has consented to be contacted in the manner you use
- You will honor opt-outs immediately and will not re-add anyone who has opted out
- You will comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, carrier messaging rules, and any state or local laws that apply to you
- You are responsible for the content of messages sent from your account, including any edits you make to our templates
- You have the right to connect any third-party account you link to the Services, such as your Google Business Profile
SupportLocal relies on these representations. We do not independently verify consent.
5. Messaging content and automation
The Services send messages on your behalf using templates and automation rules. You are the sender of those messages. You are responsible for reviewing the templates, timing, and audience before turning any campaign on.
Message delivery depends on carriers and providers we do not control. Messages may be delayed, filtered, or blocked. We are not responsible for messages that are not delivered.
We may pause or block sending from your account if we see complaint rates, opt-out rates, or content that puts our messaging reputation or compliance at risk.
6. Fees, billing, and payment
Plan prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. All fees are in US dollars. Sales tax will be added where required.
You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the plan you choose, plus any usage above the limits included in your plan, on a recurring basis until you cancel. You agree to keep your payment information current.
If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend your account until it succeeds. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, even after we have requested or received payment.
7. Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation
Renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annually depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel.
Cancellation
You can cancel any time from your account settings or by emailing support@supportlocal.io from the email address on the account. For security, cancellations must come from the account owner or an authorized administrator, and we may verify identity before processing a request. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep access until then.
Refunds
30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied in your first 30 days, email support@supportlocal.io within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund that first payment in full. The guarantee applies once per business, to the first subscription payment only. Charges for text messages already sent are not refunded.
Refunds after the guarantee period
After the first 30 days, fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We do not prorate partial periods.
Free trials
If we offer a free trial, your payment method is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Trial length and conditions are shown at signup.
Price changes
We may change subscription fees. We will give you at least 30 days notice by email before a price change takes effect on your account.
8. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or messages to anyone who has not consented
- Use the Services for anything illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, or harmful
- Post or solicit fake, paid, or misleading reviews, or offer incentives for reviews in violation of platform rules
- Upload malware or attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the platform
- Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or resell the Services or their content without written permission
- Share your account credentials or use another user's account
- Impersonate any person or business
- Use the Services to build a competing product
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without notice or refund.
9. Your content and data
You own the content and data you put into the Services, including customer lists, message templates you write, and business information ("Client Data"). You grant us a license to host, process, transmit, and display Client Data as needed to provide the Services and as described in our privacy policy.
You are responsible for Client Data and for having the rights to use it. We may remove content that we reasonably believe violates these terms or the law.
Marketing and publicity
You give us permission to use your business name, logo, publicly posted reviews, testimonials you provide, and general results from the Services in case studies, on our website, and in marketing. We will not publish your customers' personal information. Email us if you would rather not be included and we will honor the request going forward.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback about the Services, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Our intellectual property
SupportLocal owns the platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, templates, and trademarks. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your internal business purposes. All other rights are reserved.
11. Third-party accounts and services
You may connect third-party accounts to the Services, such as your Google Business Profile, CRM, or phone system. You represent that you have the right to grant us that access. Your relationship with those providers is governed by their own terms. If a provider ends or changes access, some features may stop working. You can disconnect a third-party account at any time from your settings.
The Services may link to websites we do not own. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
12. Privacy
Our privacy policy at https://supportlocal.io/privacy explains how we handle personal information. By using the Services you agree to it. Where you upload your customers' information, you are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf under these terms.
13. Term, suspension, and termination
These terms apply for as long as you use the Services. You may stop using the Services and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, fail to pay, create legal or messaging compliance risk for us, or if we discontinue the Services. Where practical we will give notice.
On termination, your right to use the Services ends. You may export your Client Data for 30 days after termination, after which we may delete it. Sections that by their nature should survive, including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification, survive termination.
14. Changes and interruptions
We may change, pause, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We do not guarantee the Services will be available without interruption. We may perform maintenance, and outages caused by hosting providers, carriers, or third-party platforms may occur. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT THEY WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUPPORTLOCAL AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places our liability is limited to the greatest extent the law allows.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SupportLocal, its affiliates, and their owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to:
- Any breach of these terms by you or anyone using your account
- Contact information you provide without the required consent
- Messages sent from your account to anyone who opted out or never consented
- Any claim that messages sent at your direction violate the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, carrier rules, or any other law
- Your Client Data or your business operations
- Any dispute between you and your customers
This indemnity covers the acts of your employees, contractors, and anyone acting on your behalf, and survives termination of these terms.
18. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law rules.
If you have a dispute with us, email us first and we will try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we cannot, any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, held in Frederick County, Maryland, or by video. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and SupportLocal each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
Any claim not subject to arbitration will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Frederick County, Maryland, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
19. Electronic communications and signatures
You agree to receive notices, agreements, and other communications from us electronically, by email or through the platform, and that electronic signatures and records satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.
20. General terms
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. For material changes we will notify account holders by email or in the platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
Entire agreement
These terms, our privacy policy, and any order or plan details you accept at checkout are the entire agreement between you and SupportLocal about the Services and replace any earlier agreements.
Severability and waiver
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment
You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Independent contractors
We are independent contractors. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship.
Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages at hosting providers, carriers, or third-party platforms, natural disasters, government action, or labor disputes. This does not excuse your obligation to pay for Services already provided.

Notices to you go to the email address on your account. Notices to us go to support@supportlocal.io.
